MØLLER Export Processing Zone

The MØLLER Group will hopefully have finalised discussions and negotiations with the Namibian Government by Q4 2026 to fully initiate MEPZ within the Namibia framework.

M.E.P.Z Namibia Sector Overview

The Møller Export Processing Zone (M.E.P.Z) in Namibia forms part of a global framework designed to accelerate industrialisation, innovation, and export competitiveness across key value chains. Its core mandate is to position Namibia as a strategic gateway for Africa-to-world trade, leveraging its geographic advantages, stable governance, and alignment with AfCFTA, SACU, and EU trade protocols.

Core Functionality of M.E.P.Z Namibia

  1. Multi-Sector Export Facilitation

    • Covers agriculture, manufacturing, technology, logistics, renewable energy, and services.

    • Provides the infrastructure, incentives, and regulatory framework for companies like Robin Motor Sport to operate under one integrated trade platform.

  2. Incentives & Compliance Support

    • Duty-free importation of raw materials and components.

    • Tax holidays and reduced corporate tax rates.

    • Simplified customs and trade processes, ensuring faster movement of goods.

    • Full alignment with Namibian legislation on import/export, IP protection, and industrial policy.

  3. Infrastructure & Logistics Backbone

    • Anchored by Walvis Bay Port with direct links to trans-African corridors.

    • Access to modern warehousing, bonded facilities, and streamlined logistics services.

    • Export-ready facilities enable scale-up into Africa, Europe, the US, and Latin America.

  4. Innovation & Partnerships

    • Research and development collaboration with local universities and international partners.

    • Protection of intellectual property under Namibian and international law.

    • Space for joint ventures and co-development initiatives.

How M.E.P.Z Benefits Robin Motor Sport (RMS)

Although RMS is an automotive-focused subsidiary, its integration into M.E.P.Z ensures access to the broader ecosystem of trade, incentives, and partnerships. Benefits include:

  • Strategic Positioning: RMS gains recognition and support as part of a nationally and globally backed export initiative, strengthening its credibility with suppliers, regulators, and investors.

  • Cost Reduction: Duty exemptions and tax incentives lower operational and assembly costs, giving RMS a price advantage in competitive markets.

  • Export Leverage: RMS uses M.E.P.Z’s logistics corridors to distribute vehicles, components, and aftermarket products efficiently across Africa and beyond.

  • IP Protection: RMS’s R&D, designs, and potential OEM innovations are safeguarded under Namibian IP frameworks, supported by M.E.P.Z’s governance.

  • Access to Shared Services: RMS benefits indirectly from shared infrastructure within the Zone (logistics, bonded warehouses, regulatory support, ICT infrastructure), which would be costly to establish independently.

  • Market Expansion: With M.E.P.Z acting as a regional trade bridge, RMS can expand into Brazil, the Caribbean, and Europe with streamlined compliance and reduced barriers.
