RMS Vision

Shaping our Future by Rebuilding our Past™

RMS Strategy

Domination of the vehicle industry by a handful of mainstream producers has narrowed the field of individuality to the limited range of models they produce and make available. At the same time, the industry is facing major challenges: stricter emission controls, increasing vehicle autonomy, and constant connectivity and monitoring. All of this makes the true enjoyment of this sector increasingly elusive.

RMS was formed to take the best and most enjoyable aspects of driving and bring them back to life—with thoughtful modifications that ensure on-road safety while sharing both road and off-road environments with modern vehicles. RMS is seizing this opportunity to Shape Our Future by Rebuilding Our Past™.

This is the foundation of the RMS strategy: combining strong oversight, a talented company of innovators who honour both the past and the future, a like-minded team, and a set of operational pillars that define our direction and vision for the years ahead.

RMS Africa Strategy

RMS Africa Strategy: Assembling the Future with Heritage and Innovation

RMS is executing a bold Africa-focused strategy centred on revitalising vehicle ownership through reliable, cost-effective, and locally assembled vehicles. With operations anchored in Namibia, the RMS assembly plant will serve as the regional manufacturing and innovation hub, bringing new life to iconic models while developing vehicles tailored for the continent’s unique terrain and needs.

Core Product Rollout

Our African market focus begins with the staged release of the following vehicle lines, each engineered for durability, simplicity, and versatility:

  • RMS FJ Series – A revival of the beloved off-road icon, reimagined for modern utility and reliability.

  • RMS 90 and 110 Series – Paying homage to the legendary Defender lineup, with enhancements for everyday African road conditions and overland performance.

  • RMS CJ Series – Inspired by the original civilian Jeep platform, combining rugged design with accessible maintenance.

  • New RMS Developments – A line of purpose-built vehicles designed specifically for African commercial, agricultural, and urban applications.

All vehicles will be locally assembled at the RMS Namibia plant, reducing import costs, creating skilled employment, and allowing for regional specification adjustments.

Strategic Dealer Network

To ensure market penetration and strong after-sales support, RMS will appoint Strategic Country Dealers across key African territories. These dealerships will be responsible for:

  • Sales and service of the full RMS vehicle range

  • Localised parts warehousing and distribution

  • Technical training and certification of RMS mechanics

  • Customer relationship management and feedback loops to RMS HQ

  • Regional compliance with environmental and safety standards

Initial dealership appointments will prioritise South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Kenya, Ghana, and Nigeria, with further expansion aligned to market performance and logistics corridors.

This strategy reflects RMS’s commitment to Africa’s industrial and mobility future. We are not just building vehicles—we are rebuilding regional capability, self-sufficiency, and pride in ownership. By fusing heritage with innovation, RMS is positioning itself as Africa’s answer to durable, modular, and cost-effective automotive solutions.
